Neighborhood: 30 W Broad St, Rochester City-261400
State: New York
Newly redeveloped as The Rockford - 30 West Broad Street served as Rochester's City Hall for over a century. Amazingly unique bar restaurant space with the charm of cheers and the feel of downtown London. Outdoor, indoor, and party room space, lots of existing bar restaurant features to leverage and room for production equipment (brewery, distillery, winery). The building architecture blends Romanesque and Gothic influences and the exterior façade is primarily comprised of Lockport limestone. At the time of construction, the Erie Canal and later the Rochester Subway ran through the center of the City where Broad Street is now located at the former rear entry to the building. The building is situated in the center of the West Side of the Central Business District in close proximity to The Terminal Building, The Academy Building, the former Democrat & Chronicle Building and is near the location for the upcoming ROC the Riverway capital campaign.
